The EGO Lecta Knowledge Broker was founded by young, enthusiastic mentors with a desire to offer the young generations a high level of music education, new, more advanced learning methods and a modern approach of mentors to their students. Our mentors offer piano and singing lessons in Slovene, English, Russian, Ukrainian, and Korean languages. While the curriculum is an essential requirement, it is crucial to remember that warmth plays a vital role in nurturing both flowers and a child’s soul, contributing to their overall growth.

I see my life in terms of music.” It’s so powerful, the music. Is there anything more rewarding than sharing this knowledge with someone? Music knows no boundaries, embracing the youngest and the oldest alike. Well, at least we don’t perceive any of these barriers, which is precisely why we are here.
In addition to the classical programme, which follows a structured curriculum and culminates in an annual examination at a public music school resulting in a certificate, we also provide a “hobby” or “pop” programme which is tailored by the teacher to accommodate the student’s personal preferences and abilities.
Students are familiarised with contemporary music genres such as pop, rock and jazz. Our goal is to foster creativity and expressiveness, recognizing music as the ideal medium for such development.
Our students will have the chance to showcase their skills through two grand annual gala performances and monthly in-house performances. We always strive to nurture relationships among our students, so we actively organize duets or larger group performances to facilitate collaboration and foster camaraderie.
For our musicians, we have curated online concerts, in-house performances, and a variety of projects that leave other schools in awe.

CLASSROOMS AND MENTORS
As we are committed to the quality of our teaching, our piano classrooms are equipped with Yamaha pianos. This is the fourth year that our school has been hosted by the Japan Piano Centre in Šiška, where both before and after the lesson, children can take a tour of their showroom, which houses over 120 different pianos and upright pianos.

PROJECTS
Pianists are considered “individual” instrumentalists. At our school, we are breaking that myth through various group projects. Two years back, at the end of the school year, we performed a “piano mix” with 40 pianists. Last year, we were the first music school in the world to establish an 80-member piano orchestra, while this year we have gone one step further and formed a 120-member ensemble.

ADVANCED PROGRAMME
We combine traditional piano lessons with an advanced, modern programme that is much more interesting for children. In addition to traditional piano lessons, our mentors also place a great emphasis on contemporary popular music. At your request, we can also teach your child in the traditional way, where they take final exams at the end of the course.

RENTING A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
Piano lessons are our “flagship”. It is a great challenge to admit more than 40 new pianists each year. We understand that a piano is not a cheap instrument, which is why we have been cooperating with the Japan Piano Centre for many years now, where we can offer you a monthly piano rental for only €33.00/month.

The EGO Lecta Music School can be found in five locations. You can find us in Brezovica, Šiška, Japan Piano Centre, Primary School Ledina and Dolgi Most. If you prefere to save time transporting your children to music school, we offer you a home tuition programme as the first music school to do so for a number of years.
